2020 Ford Explorer Platinum

Posted: Sun. Nov. 17 12:26:51 2019

My limited is riddled with transmission issues. At 3200 miles, I had it in the shop the first time for transmission leaks. They put me in a loner Explorer (base model) for around a week. The transmission went out on that as well (@2500 miles). Now, every time I go in to have my vehicle fixed I'm asking for a different loner car.

My car is currently in the shop (again @5800 miles) because of a hesitating and jerking transmission. To top it all of, the vehicle actually DROVE in the wrong direction. I'll be specific: I put the car in reverse, it DROVE forward, jerked, and then decided it would go in reverse! My 1 year old niece and SIL were in the car, very frightening.

Fighting Ford for a buy back now.. yes and I mean fight. They've been awful. The state of TX says 2 times is a lemon for safety issues, and they still refuse to get me out of this dangerous car. I'm afraid to drive the thing, it's completely unpredictable.

To reiterate, I highly doubt it's just my car. What are the chances that the loaner transmission would go out as well?

2020's are lemons!!!!! BUYER BEWARE, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED...
